The Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW Backpack
Hauls All Your Optical Gear and More

One of the largest in the series, the Lowepro Slingshot 300 is for gear haulers who like to have a bag full of lenses and two cameras ready to go at one time. The bag maintains the slide over sling style but allows for greater space flexibility with minimal weight gain in comparison to the Slingshot 200.

Suitable for a Pro SLR with an attached lens and battery pack, the Slingshot 300 also has plenty of room for 4-5 extra lenses and all your cables and assessories. There are built in memory card pouches, organizer pockets and a micro fiber LCD cloth for added protection.

With most features the same on the Slingshot series, the choices come down to capacity for gear and comfort aspects. While the Slingshot 200 is a smaller and nicer size to carry, the Slingshot 300 allows you to carry telephoto lenses with ease.

The extra space means you can pack a full load of optical equipment. But remember that a full load is often very heavy for single strap pack. For many users, the spacious capacity was too much for their requirements.

Heavy packs also put more strain on the shoulder and neck with the sling design that doesn't allow you to switch from right to left.

These factors make it important to know how much gear you really want to carry. Try to measure your camera kit first to decide which of the Slingshot series best suits your needs.

The Lowepro Slingshot 350 AW is an extra large capacity bag that includes a side access padded laptop pocket for a complete office on the go. While the durability of Lowepro bags is well known, the larger size Slingshots with more weight may not handle rough conditions as well as the 100 and 200 series.

Many women felt the sling strap across the chest was very uncomfortable and disliked how the tight fit brought unwanted attention. Another complaint regards how the all-weather cover does not protect the back panel when not worn, thus leaving that side exposed to the elements when carrying by hand.
