Lowe Alpine Backpacks for Hiking ComfortThere are two main criteria for Lowe Alpine backpacks, the first is comfort and the second is simplicity. For over 40 years, Lowe Alpine set out to make the most comfortable carrying systems in the market by adhering to these two principles. Citing complexity as the enemy of reliability, the company seeks to provide real world applications for comfort and durability to verify what works well in the manufacturing lab. They offer a "Comfort Guarantee" to underlie their commitment towards ensuring that your outdoor and urban adventures satisfy your desire for quality and well-fitting gear. Lowe Alpine also created a women's line of packs to cater to the differences and preferences of women to carry the load lower and organize their contents with more external and internal pockets. The company bears the name of the Lowe brothers, who started making gear for climbers in their garage in Colorado and today has expanded its operations across the globe to over 40 countries. For clarification, the Lowepro company, a leader in quality camera bags, is separate from Lowe Alpine backpacks that now offers a full range of backpacking, mountaineering, hiking, daypacks and travel gear for everyday use or specific activities.
Environmental and Social Responsibility
According to company website listings, Lowe Alpine is engaged in various activities with environmental and charitable causes. They have partnered with several outdoor organizations, including the International Mountain Guides, the Jackson Hole Mountain Guides and the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education. They also provide support to the American Alpine Club and the American Mountain Guides Association and give charitable assistance to the Cancer Climber Association. It is unclear as to what level of financial, product giveaways or other assistance is granted to these organizations that seek to ensure safe mountaineering and outdoor adventures.

As part of their Travel Trekker series for people on vacation or business travelers on the road, Lowe Alpine backpacks developed the TT Pro 70 as a total travel system. The pack can be carried with either the over-the-shoulder sling or with the integrated backpack straps for convenient options when meandering on streets, buses or trains.

It also comes with a small detachable daypack for light load days exploring the city or sights. All of these options let you utilize a variety of packing adjustments to fit any traveling scenario. The pack folds open like a clamshell for quick access to contents and a suitcase like storage capacity.
The TFX Travel system provides an adjustable back apparatus for a comfortable fit when wearing and folds flat and zips away when not needed. No matter how you go, the Travel Trekker Pro is easy to store in overhead bins without loose straps getting in the way.
For storage, the options range from a front stash pocket, a pair of side pockets, a series of internal pockets for organization and a water bottle pocket.
City travelers will appreciate the option to wear the pack on your front side to make it easier to navigate crowded streets and avoid pickpocketing woes. Plus a variable zip entry system gives you easy access to the bag's contents when you need to switch clothes. To protect all your belongings, a rain cover remains handy when weather turns bad or to cover in transit.
To handle the rigors of holiday travels, the pack weighs over seven pounds and carries a load from 45 to 55 pounds. If you load to the max, be sure you can lift it in the confined spaces of tourist transportation.

The large main compartment provides space for all your essential gear for the day and the zippered front stash pocket keeps small items within easy reach. The lid also has a zippered pocket and two stretch mesh side pockets fit liter water bottles.
The pack comes hydration compatible with a reservoir pocket and drink tube exit port to keep your liquids handy at all time. And when the weather gets too wet, just pull out the integrated rain cover stowed on the bottom.
Users found the lightweight Airzone to be comfortable for biking commutes and mountain biking trips with good transfer of weight and a stable ride. Among the dislikes were having only one central buckle to latch down and limited use of the vertical zip pocket.
Colors available: Black/Marigold, Terracotta/Slate Grey, Dust/Bark, Bark/Marigold

One of the more popular daypacks, the Lowe Alpine Edge is a good choice for day hikes, ascent climbs or sightseeing in the city since it offers a ventilated back panel for cool comfort.

An internal organizer keeps your small daily items handy and the two outside mesh pocets let you carry water bottles or choose to use a bladder with the built-in hydration system.
The front panel also has a vertical zip pocket for grabbing a compass or cell phone depending on the environment you seek to explore.
Lowe Alpine is recognized more for backcountry packs moreso than daypacks, but the company makes a number of outdoor adventure models, some designed especially for women, that are making a mark in the industry.
